Why aren't the leads being added to my autoresponder mailing list?

You should first be certain that you have selected Autoresponder from the Delivery Type drop down menu.

You can change your Delivery Type by following these instructions:

1. Log in to your account.
2. Select My Account, Delivery Information from the main menu.
3. Select Autoresponder from the Delivery Type drop down menu.
4. Click the Save Changes button.

If you have already selected Autoresponder from the Delivery Type drop down menu, then you should confirm with your autoresponder service whether or not opt-in leads can be automatically imported to your mailing list. Some autoresponder services do not allow automatic importing. If the autoresponder service you use does allow automatic importing, then you may need to check the settings of your autoresponder account to ensure that the import feature is enabled.

Also, keep in mind that there may be times when your autoresponder's web server is down because of overload, or for maintenance. As a result, any attempt by to send leads to your autoresponder mailing list will fail.

How do I specify which domains I want to accept email addresses from?

Domain Blocker

Domain Blocker allows you to choose which domains you prefer not to accept. For example, if you don't want leads with a Hotmail email address to subscribe to your advert/newsletter/ezine/offer, then you can choose to block anything@hotmail.com. This way, any Hotmail email address will not be passed along to you, or your autoresponder or web form.

Learn more about Domain Blocker here. If you have already purchased the Domain Blocker add-on, then you can change your selections by following these instructions:

1. Log in to your account.
2. Select Addons, Domain Blocker from the main menu.
3. Hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard and use your mouse to select one or more items from the Domain Blocker drop down menu.
4. Click the Save Changes button.

Geo Select

Geo Select allows you to choose which domain extensions you want to accept. For example, if your list targets a specific geographical location such as the United States and Canada only, then you can choose to accept only anything@domain.com, anything@domain.net, anything@domain.us, and anything@domain.ca. This way, email addresses such as anything@domain.uk will not be passed along to you, or your autoresponder or web form.

Learn more about Geo Select here. If you have already purchased the Geo Select add-on, then you can change your selections by following these instructions:

1. Log in to your account.
2. Select Addons, Geo Select from the main menu.
3. Hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard and use your mouse to select one or more items from the Geo Select drop down menu.
4. Click the Save Changes button.

I send out a personalized advert/newsletter/ezine/offer. Can you provide first names with my lead data?

Yes. can pass the email addresses and names of new leads to your autoresponder or web form.

My leads are being sent automatically to my autoresponder. Why am I also receiving a daily subscriber report?

If you selected Bulk Report from the Delivery Type drop down menu, then a daily subscriber report containing the email addresses (and any other subscription information you have requested) of your new leads will be sent to your Reporting Email Address.

If you selected Autoresponder, Web Form, or Web Server Delivery from the Delivery Type drop down menu, then the email addresses (and any other subscription information you have requested) of your new leads will be sent to your autoresponder, web form, or web server.

You will also receive a daily subscriber report which details the email addresses (and any other subscription information you have requested) of your new leads. This way, if there are any unforeseen problems with your autoresponder, web form, or web server, then you can manually import your new leads.

Your daily subscriber reports are also archived in the Members Area.

You can view leads sent to you during the past 90 days by following these instructions:

1. Log in to your account.
2. Select My Account, Lead Reports from the main menu.
3. Select a date from the From drop down menu.
4. Select a date from the To drop down menu.
5. Click the Display button.

How does real-time delivery to my web form work?

If you selected Web Form from the Delivery Type drop down menu, then all you need to do is provde us with the action URL which your form uses when the subscriber submits your form.

For example, when you view the HTML source code for your form, you may see something like this:

<form method="post" action="http://www.yourdomain.com/cgi-bin/arp3-formcapture.pl">

If your form contains HTML source code like this, then the web form address (action URL) would be http://www.yourdomain.com/cgi-bin/arp3-formcapture.pl.

This feature allows you to have your new leads sent to your web form script "behind the scenes" so they are automatically added to your mailing list.

When someone requests a subscription to your advert/newsletter/ezine/offer, and they enter their name and email address, their information is then passed to your web form script. Your web form script then processes the data and adds the name and email address to your mailing list.

Note: Your new leads never actually see your web form, so they cannot complete a survey or enter any information in your web form.

Today's subscriber report says that 35 leads were sent to my autoresponder, but my mailing list count has only increased by 33 subscribers. Why the discrepancy?

This happens from time to time when your autoresponder's mail server is down for maintenance or may be overloaded. During these times, subscription requests to your advert/newsletter/ezine/offer will not be processed.

For this reason, we send you a daily subscriber report. You should reconcile the reports you receive with your mailing list on a weekly or monthly basis, and manually add/import any leads which have not added automatically.

If this happens regularly, then you should address the problem with your mailing list host.

I tried to subscribe to my own advert/newsletter/ezine/offer using my email address to make sure the system was working, but my email address doesn't appear in my autoresponder. Why?

If you are using a double opt-in system with your own mailing list host or autoresponder, then leads will only be added to your mailing list once they have responded to your confirmation email. This also assumes that you set up your account so that your confirmed subscribers are sent to your mailing list host or autoresponder immediately (you must select Immediate from the Delivery Frequency drop down menu).

If you are using a single opt-in system with your own mailing list host or autoresponder, then leads will only be added to your mailing list once they have responded to our confirmation email. This also assumes that you set up your account so that your confirmed subscribers are sent to your mailing list host or autoresponder immediately (you must select Immediate from the Delivery Frequency drop down menu).

Although people continue to subscribe to your advert/newsletter/ezine/offer throughout the day, your stats in the Members Area are updated nightly, some time after your daily or weekly subscriber report is delivered to your contact email address.

I tried to subscribe to my own advert/newsletter/ezine/offer using my email address to make sure the system was working, but my email address doesn't appear in the reporting section of the Members Area. Why?

The reporting area is updated once daily. For example, if someone requests a subscription to your advert/newsletter/ezine/offer today, their email address will appear in the reporting area overnight tonight.
